When staffing our team of counselors, we recruit only the most exceptional, talented and driven UCLA students to serve as role models for our young guests. More than mere chaperones, these proud Bruins lead young ones through games and campouts, art classes, swimming lessons, and so much more. They are an integral part of the Bruin Woods experience and their friendship and guidance will make a big imprint on your kids for years to come.
It may seem hard to imagine, but these talented stewards of outdoor adventure don’t stay here year-round — at season’s end, it’s back to school and all the responsibilities that come with excelling at UCLA.
The Bruin Woods Scholarship Fund recognizes the extraordinary efforts of these students and awards scholarships to student staff based on their outstanding and exemplary service. Scholarships help cover the student’s UCLA tuition and fees, giving them the opportunity to focus on education and extracurricular activities rather than fretting about finances.
The great outdoors are accessible to everyone, but much of the time a college education is not. Your gift provides a financial boost for the UCLA students who provide the exceptional experiences in the great outdoors for your family.
